  He emailed me back. Nothing grand, no outpourings of love or anything, but it was friendly and he said he missed me and would be sure to keep in touch. He also sounded worried about me and told me many times to be safe because I'm going to be involved in some protesting soon that could turn ugly. He also signed the email "love," but that doesn't really mean anything because so did I and that's very much his personality.
  
  Just thought I would let you guys know, as a few of you had requested that I let you know when he replied.
  
  I can't stop grinning. I feel silly but I love it.
